I'm your only friend
I'm not your only friend
But I'm a little glowing friend
But really I'm not actually your friend
But I am
Blue canary in the outlet by the light switch
Who watches over you
Make a little birdhouse in your soul
Not to put too fine a point on it
Say I'm the only bee in your bonnet

Holy cow. Synthetic drugs raise "loopy" to a wholly different level. So I dropped the stuff before I end up sleeping my way through the rest of the year. I'm back to taking herbal remedies meant for allergies (my usual course of action is to take a Nettles & Quercetin combo), and I'll see how well those work in combating my skin allergy. The good thing is that though the hives that appeared on my arms a few days ago are still there, they've eased up a little. The redness has faded a bit, but there are pockets of bumpy surfaces here and there, and every once in a while, my arms get pretty itchy.
Andy's urging me to see an immunologist, so I can find out what caused the breakout in the first place. I'll see if I can set an appointment for Friday. What a hassle.
Oh, yeah - here's a video of the last kilometer of Stage 5. :)
I can't help it. Yeah, I'm a Garmin fangirl, but I'm so thrilled for Voeckler, surviving a breakaway and enjoying a solo win. Not only that - this was his first ever stage win at the Tour. In other races, he's constantly attacking, trying to win extra points or surviving the breakaway, only to be swept up by the charging peloton. It's great seeing him finally - finally - get rewarded for his efforts.
He keeps looking behind him and shaking his head as he nears the finish line. I don't blame him. It's all shock and disbelief that an underdog managed to snag a prize. :) Good for him.
